OLYMPIC DOWNHILL COURSE

What: Unveiling of the new name of the 2002
Olympic downhill course at
Snowbasin U.S. Men's Alpine Team members, Chad Fleischer, Chris Puckett
and Jason Rosener will take inaugural run down
newly-named 2002 men's
downhill course
When: Thursday, Jan. 4 at Noon, top of the
men's Olympic downhill
course
Lift access to the top - please arrive no later
than 11:30 a.m.
Where: Snowbasin Ski Area - meet in the
lower parking lot at the John
Paul quad chair lift

Recently returned from Europe, members of the U.S.
Men's Alpine Team
will be taking to the slopes before the World Cup
comes to Snowbasin.
Three members of the team, Chad Fleischer, Chris
Puckett and Jason
Rosener, will free ski the downhill course at
Snowbasin to inaugurate
the newly-named run and get a first look at the
never-before raced
course. This will give the athletes the chance to
study the turns and
drops the course has to offer before they compete
on it in just over a
month. Final preparations for the 2001 Chevy Truck
Downhill World Cup at
Snowbasin are under way and the men's Olympic
downhill course finally
has a name. During Feb. 24-25, the world's fastest
athletes will compete
on Snowbasin's highly-rated downhill course.
You are invited to join the U.S. Alpine Team and
Snowbasin officials at
the top of the men's downhill to unveil the name
of the course. For
